A beloved Gogglebox star has been praised by fans following her incredible transformation. Amy Tapper, 25, first graced our screens on the hit Channel 4 show during its very first series back in 2013, appearing alongside her family members: dad Jonathan, mum Nikki and older sibling Josh.
The Tapper clan swiftly won over audiences with their sharp wit, regularly delighting viewers with their amusing remarks. Nevertheless, the family bid farewell to the show not long after Josh departed Gogglebox in 2017 to chase his political ambitions.
Amy then made her own exit in 2018 to appear on the popular dating programme Celebs Go Dating, reports the Mirror.
Since leaving Gogglebox behind, Amy has been open about her weight loss journey, frequently sharing updates with her followers on social media. The TV star has lost an incredible seven stone, dropping from a size 26 to an 18 in just 12 months.
This week, Amy shared a stunning snap of herself during a night out on her Instagram page, as she confidently posed in a ruffled white top teamed with dark trousers. Her caption simply stated: “Thank god I got the Bathroom memo.”
Fans were quick to heap praise in the comments section as one person wrote: “Looking so well.” Another gushed: “Wow Amy you look amazing”, while a third follower remarked: “You look brilliant, well done to you.”
Amy recently opened up about her weight loss journey to The Sun, revealing that she shed weight with the help of the Mounjaro jab, stating: “I felt there was nothing else I could do”.
She excitedly shared: “I’m fitting into size 18 clothes for the first time since I was 15 or 16 – it’s hard for me to believe. It’s changed my life. I went to the theatre the other night and when I sat down, my thighs weren’t touching the person next to me, or the sides of the chairs. I had room.”
However, Amy was quick to clarify: “I get annoyed though that some people call it the ‘lazy way out’. I don’t want people to think that I’ve sat around for the last 17 years of my life not trying to lose weight.
“I want people to know that this has been my only option to get this far.”
