include The Australian’s formidable Judith Sloan lecturing the Libs on state economic policy.
There are motions on bushfire prevention, stamp duty for seniors, police dogs, the housing crisis – oh, and legalising recreational marijuana use – so it is available without prescription. And creating a dope excise tax as well.
The motion touts (or do we mean tokes?) freedom of choice. “We allow Victorian adults to exercise freedom of choice; remove an unnecessary regulation/barrier in requiring a prescription,” it reads.
There is also a provision to create a dope excise tax on the drug as well. “Break the business model of criminals and collect desperately needed tax revenue for our state to pay down Labor’s debt,” the motion reads. Can’t fault the liberalism.
