Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry is widely regarded as one of the most imposing forces to ever play the position. But interestingly, Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit doesn’t view Henry as someone who is all that hard to get to the ground. Thus far in 2025, Henry has continued his dominant ways, rushing for 169 yards, the most of anybody in Week 1, in the Ravens’ season-opening game against the Bills. Most Browns fans expect Henry to be one of the biggest problems that the Browns’ defense will have to solve. But Delpit seemingly doesn’t see it that way, claiming that Henry was “not hard” to tackle when asked about the upcoming matchup with the five-time Pro Bowler on Thursday.”How hard is Derrick Henry to bring down?” a reporter asked Delpit during his media availability on Thursday.”Not hard,” Delpit bluntly declared.Describing Henry, who stands at 6’2” and weighs over 250 pounds, as someone who is “not hard” to tackle is certainly an interesting choice of words.More news: Popular ESPN NFL Analyst ‘Blown Away’ by Titans QB Cam Ward’s DebutMaybe it’s gamesmanship from Delpit. Or maybe he truly believes that Henry is an easy player to get to the ground.Either way, Henry’s past history against the Browns certainly doesn’t back up Delft’s claims. In Henry’s two matchups against the Browns last season, his first in Baltimore, Henry recorded 211 rushing yards and found the end zone three times.Delpit’s trash talk before the game is not the lone instance of a Browns player trashing the Ravens prior to Sunday’s game. On Wednesday, Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy boldly declared that the Ravens’ secondary presented “no challenges” for the Browns offense.More news: Browns Star Throws Major Shot at Ravens Ahead of Week 2 MatchupBased on how Jeudy and Delpit are talking about the Ravens prior to Sunday’s game, the Browns seemingly believe they should have no problems coming away with a victory in the game. But giving someone as historically great as Derrick Henry added motivation, certainly may prove to be a foolish decision from Delpit. So it will certainly be interesting to see whether he can back up his claims, or if Henry will prove why he continues to be one of the best running backs in all of football. For more on the Browns and all things NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.
