LB Mohamed Toure has made an immediate impact for the University of Miami, the No. 2 football team in the country.
The Pleasantville High School graduate made a team-leading 10 tackles, including a sack, in the Hurricanes’ 26-7 win over Florida on Saturday.
Toure, who graduated from Rutgers University and is playing his last year of eligibility with Miami, is second on the team with 18 tackles through four games. The Hurricanes are 4-0.
RB Kanye Udoh (St. Augustine Prep) ran seven times for 18 yards in Arizona State’s 27-24 win over Baylor.
OL Brady Small (St. Augustine) started at center for an Army offense that gained 488 yards in a 45-38 loss to North Texas.
DL Denis Jaquez Jr. (St. Augustine) made three tackles in Syracuse’s 34-21 win over Clemson.
WR JoJo Bermudez (Cedar Creek) caught four passes for 58 yards and a TD in Temple’s 25-24 loss to Georgia Tech.
CB Bradley Pao (St. Augustine) made five tackles in Bucknell’s 41-24 loss to Lehigh.
WR Elijah Steward (Holy Spirit) had three catches for 18 yards in Lafayette’s 38-14 win over Columbia.
DB Kyon Conyers (Millville) made six tackles, including half a tackle for a loss, in Long Island’s 28-7 loss to Rhode Island.
OL JT Cornelius (Southern Regional) and OL David Dutra (Vineland) started for a Monmouth offense that gained 637 yards in a 51-33 win over Villanova. LB Hunter Watson (Mainland Regional) made three tackles, including a sack. For Villanova, RB Ja’Briel Mace (Mainland) had a 27-yard run.
S Cohen Cook (Mainland) made six tackles in New Hampshire’s 27-20 loss to Dartmouth.
DB Nasir Hill (St. Augustine) made five tackles in Princeton’s 42-35 loss to San Diego. The Tigers, who opened their season Saturday, are led by Bob Surace (Millville), who is in his 15th season as head coach.
DB Kenny Selby (St. Augustine) made two tackles and broke up three passes in Sacred Heart’s 31-28 win over Norfolk State.
DB Alim Parks (Cedar Creek) made a team-leading nine tackles and forced a fumble in Wagner’s 49-10 loss to Central Michigan.
LB Nick Layton (Ocean City) made four tackles, including one for a loss, in Kutztown’s 46-7 win over Gannon. DL Brayden Pohlman (Mainland) had half a sack. OL CJ Conti (Ocean City) and OL Patrick Fulginiti (Southern) started for an offense that gained 306 yards.
DB Mike Weaver (Holy Spirit) blocked a punt in Saint Anselm’s 30-8 loss to Assumption. DB Devin Lee (Holy Spirit) made two tackles.
WR Jayden Llanos (Holy Spirit) caught three passes for 54 yards and a TD in Seton Hill’s 34-16 loss to West Chester.
QB Riley Gunnels (Ocean City) completed 30 of 50 passes for 295 yards and three interceptions in Shippensburg’s 42-0 loss to Slippery Rock. For Slippery Rock, DB Kwalil Shepperson (Pleasantville) broke up two passes.
LB Ahmad Ross (St. Joseph) made five tackles, including half a tackle for a loss, in Virginia Union’s 28-10 win over Johnson C. Smith. S Jymere Melendez (Bridgeton) made three tackles.
QB JJ Gonzalez (Buena Regional) was 5 for 11 with 84 yards, a TD and an interception in Alvernia’s 35-13 loss to Stevenson. For Stevenson, Mekhi Harvey (Cedar Creek) made two tackles and DL Michael Hall (Pinelands Regional) blocked a kick.
WR Alvaro Lora (Holy Spirit) caught three passes for 40 yards and a TD in Delaware Valley’s 35-28 win over Albright. DL Tayshaun Newman (Millville) made five tackles, including one for a loss. LB Andrew Vernieri (Barnegat) had six tackles, and DL James Mahana (Egg Harbor Township) added four.
QB Brett Nabb (Middle Township) was 6 for 6 with 68 yards and a TD in Eastern’s 24-21 loss to Lebanon Valley. He added 56 yards rushing on 14 carries.
WR Jack Hoag (Ocean City) caught three passes for 32 yards and a TD in Hamilton’s 23-13 win over Amherst.
DE Xander Murray (Southern) made four tackles, including half a tackle for a loss, for King’s in a 27-21 win over FDU-Florham.
QB Joe Lyons (Atlantic City) completed 19 of 37 passes for 182 yards, two TDs and two interceptions in Lycoming’s 52-29 loss to Dickinson.
WR Anthony Rucci (Pinelands) caught three passes for 70 yards in Misericordia’s 21-7 win over Widener.
WR Shane Reed (St. Joseph) caught two passes for 19 yards in Wilkes’ 26-18 loss to Muhlenberg. LB Tallen Murray (St. Joseph) made seven tackles and broke up two passes.
