ECOVACS has announced the launch of its new flagship robotic vacuum cleaner, the DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone, which is now available for pre-order in Australia and New Zealand and will be in stores from September 30.
Product features
The DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone introduces several technology advancements, including the industry’s first PowerBoost fast-charging system, which makes use of Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology to recharge the device rapidly during mop washing breaks. This allows the robot to clean areas up to 1000m2 per task without significant downtime for charging.
The X11 range also features an updated OZMO Roller mopping system, delivering mopping pressure of 3,800Pa, TruePass Adaptive 4 Wheel Drive for improved threshold crossing, enhanced TruEdge cleaning for edge coverage, and the world’s first bagless OmniCyclone Station.
The X11 is joined by two other models announced for the market: the DEEBOT X11 PRO OMNI and the DEEBOT T80 OMNI, the latter exclusive to Australia and incorporating the proprietary OZMO Roller Mopping Technology and ZeroTangle 3.0. The X11 models blend design with modern home aesthetics and deliver cleaning functionality across various floor types and household challenges.
Detailed cleaning performance
The X11’s new OZMO ROLLER 2.0 with TruEdge 3.0 is designed for deeper, edge-to-edge cleaning. ECOVACS reports the device can tackle stubborn stains, including hardened food spills, with a single pass. According to ECOVACS, the upgraded high-density-nylon mop and cleaning solution improve the robot’s ability to handle difficult floor stains.
The vacuum component is powered by a 100W motor and a 6400mAh battery, providing what is claimed to be a 140% boost in fine dust removal, 262% improvement in hair removal, and a 100% pick-up rate for large debris. ZeroTangle 3.0 technology and AI Stain Detection 2.0 also feature, allowing for automatic mode adjustment for stubborn stains and a dual-brush system to help prevent clogging by hair.
Charging and maintenance advancements
The PowerBoost Technology, as described by ECOVACS, enables charging bursts during mop-washing cycles, restoring up to 6% of battery power within 3 minutes. This allows uninterrupted operation, as the device can recharge incrementally, avoiding delays in cleaning cycles even when operating at maximum power.
The DEEBOT X11 also incorporates a TruePass Adaptive 4 Wheel Drive climbing system. This mechanism employs auxiliary levering wheels with soft rubber grips, allowing the device to cross single thresholds as high as 2.4cm and continuous thresholds up to 4cm. The purely mechanical activation of this system aims to increase reliability in handling home obstacles compared to vision-based alternatives.
With the bagless OmniCyclone Station, the DEEBOT X11 uses PureCyclone 2.0 Auto-Empty Technology, with a 1.6L dustbin designed for up to 48 days of use before maintenance, and eliminates the need for consumable dust bags. The station includes a 75°C hot water soak washing system for the mop roller and a 63°C hot air drying feature that completes in around 2 hours.
Artificial intelligence and usability
The DEEBOT X11 family is equipped with AIVI 3D 3.0 for object recognition and path planning. The device can adapt to dynamic environmental changes and avoid household obstacles while aiming for efficient cleaning coverage. The introduction of AGENT YIKO, an AI voice assistant, enables users to manage setup, monitor cleaning strategies, and resolve issues through voice commands. The assistant uses large language model technology to learn user preferences and room layouts, providing autonomous and adaptive cleaning management.
“As a leader in the home service robotics industry, ECOVACS has been consistently pushing the boundaries of intelligent cleaning. Our innovation is deeply rooted in real user needs, and the DEEBOT X11 Family exemplifies our product-market-fit strategy,” said Karen Powell, Regional Director ANZ for ECOVACS ROBOTICS.
“With our most advanced technologies to date, the DEEBOT X11 delivers ‘Xtra in Every Way’, delivering unparalleled cleanliness, convenience and intelligence to the world of robotic floor cleaning that delivers an ultra-efficient, and unmatched cleaning experience. We continue to redefine what users can expect from a robotic vacuum cleaner.”
Other new products
Also released is the DEEBOT T80 OMNI, which will be available exclusively at Harvey Norman in Australia. This device provides features including the OZMO ROLLER Instant Self-washing Mopping Technology with mopping force 16 times stronger than conventional methods, 18,000Pa suction, and the same ZeroTangle 3.0 anti-tangle technology found in the X11 series. The T80 uses AIVI 3D 3.0 for navigation and anti-tangle cleaning, and is certified by TÜV for its anti-tangle performance with both human and pet hair. Its OMNI Station features temperature-controlled hot water mop washing and a hot air-drying system intended to prevent odours and maintain hygiene with minimal maintenance.
