OriginOS 6 Release Date In India, New Features, Compatible Devices And More: How To Register

There are going to be major changes for Vivo and iQOO users in India, after years of running their global phones on FuntouchOS, the Chinese companies are expected to finally bring OriginOS to India. The switch has been hinted at for a while, but now it’s official, because Vivo has rebranded its @FuntouchOS_IN X handle to OriginOS. If you’ve been waiting for a fresher, cleaner interface, the wait won’t be too long. What’s New In OriginOS 6 The new version is built around a design philosophy Vivo calls “Comfort Engineering”. In plain terms, it’s all about making the interface feel natural, fluid, and less… well, mechanical. Early teasers highlight a revamped lock screen, complete with enhanced customisation. The lock screen now uses real-time rendering to simulate natural light refractions and shadows. In practice, that means your clock widget won’t just sit flat on the screen, it will adjust contrast and depth dynamically, giving it a layered, almost iOS 26-like feel. A transparent colour palette is also coming, which adds subtle drop shadows and blends the background image more seamlessly with UI elements. It’s small touches like this that should make OriginOS 6 look less cluttered and more premium. OriginOS 6 Launch Timeline Vivo has confirmed that OriginOS 6 will be unveiled on October 10, 2025, during the vivo Developer Conference in China. Even better, registration for the OriginOS 6 Preview program kicks off on September 29, 2025, not just in China but also in India and other global markets.
