Varun Kapoor, best known for his roles in Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, Savitri Devi College & Hospital and Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, has reportedly parted ways with wife Dhanya Mohan. The couple is said to have made this decision after being together for more than 10 years.
According to a source close to Varun, their divorce was finalised around two weeks ago. Once describing Dhanya as his “backbone”, Varun’s separation from her marks a major turning point in both their lives.

A reliable source told The Times of India, “The divorce was finalised around two weeks ago. Varun has now immersed himself totally into work.” However, there has been no official confirmation from the couple. Known to be private about his personal life, Varun has remained tight-lipped on the matter.
Varun Kapoor On His Marriage With Dhanya Mohan
Earlier in an interview with TOI, Varun shared, “Dhanya is flying all the time and I am shooting. We knew this was going to come when we got married. I still feel I am part bachelor and part married, because about 15 days a month, I am managing my home on my own. But it is nice; we have just the right distance and space and look forward to being with each other more. We try to manage our time accordingly.”
He further added with a laugh, “My wife will get bored if I don’t have a female fan following. She is quite happy to see people loving me so much. She is not at all insecure because she knows that I’ll go back to her at the end of the day.”
Back then, Varun had also described Dhanya as his pillar of strength. “Life after marriage has turned wonderful with a lot of changes happening around. There is always somebody to share your problems with. No matter what, if there are no ears to listen to you after marriage, there is always someone to hear what you have to say. My wife is like my backbone,” he had said.

Varun Kapoor married his longtime girlfriend Dhanya Mohan on January 24, 2013, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. Over the years, the couple largely kept their relationship away from the limelight, choosing to enjoy their marriage in privacy.
