Ricky Gervais is set to release a new six-part adult animated comedy series, Alley Cats, on Netflix in 2026.

The show is a slacker sitcom following a group of unmotivated, feral felines, with Gervais voicing a “lazy, rude, opinionated creature”.

The cast includes Tom Basden, Andrew Brooke, David Earl, Kerry Godliman, Jo Hartley, Diane Morgan, Natalie Cassidy, and Tony Way.

Gervais, who also created and directed the series, has previously worked on animated projects and is known for shows like The Office, Extras, and After Life.

The comedian has also been noted for his controversial jokes regarding the transgender community and his outspoken views on “cancel culture”.
