Coronation Street fans make Becky Swain 'looming' observation amid chilling 'siege' prediction

Coronation Street fans have made a ‘looming’ prediction about Becky Swain as her arrival in Weatherfield continues to cause shockwaves. Those who follow the ITV soap know that the wife of long-standing character DS Lisa Swain was thought to have been killed almost four years ago. In a shock turn of events, Becky turned up in the living room of Lisa and her fiancée Carla’s new home, No.6 Coronation Street, on their daughter, Betsy’s, 18th birthday, despite her devastated family thinking she had died in line of duty. As those tuning in saw, Lisa struggled to believe Becky was standing in front of her, and was unable to get her head around the fact that Becky had allowed her and their daughter, Betsy, to grieve her for so long despite her whole death being fake. In the scenes that followed, Lisa struggled to believe Becky was standing in front of her, and was unable to get her head around the fact that Becky had allowed her and their daughter, Betsy, to grieve her for so long despite her whole death being fake. Becky explained that she had spent the last four years in Spain under another name after being put into witness protection, following an undercover operation gone wrong. Lisa raged: “You went undercover in Curtis’ gang, Bex? One of the most dangerous men in Manchester! You put all of our lives at risk, and you didn’t trust me enough to tell me! I could have helped you. “Curtis was shot a few weeks ago, a contract killing. Did you know that? There were cheers down at the station, the lads went out on the lash, I should have joined them. He’s destroyed my life!” But Lisa wasn’t buying Becky’s version of events and during Monday’s (September 15) episode of Corrie, Lisa confronted Costello about his involvement in Becky’s disappearance. With Costello insisting that it is not a good time, Lisa decided to lock them both in the office and give him an ultimatum. After laying out the trauma Becky’s fake death put her and Betsy through, she demanded to know every detail of the plan to put Becky in witness protection. When Costello still wasn’t seeming to want to budge from his original stance, Lisa made it clear that she wasn’t messing around and threatened to go to the press and blow the whistle. But she was left confused and heartbroken when he confirmed Becky’s version of events. Becky then made another appearance at Lisa and Carla’s new family home, but it was clear she wasn’t welcomed as Lisa told her she “needed time” and she left. But while it’s looking like Becky isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, Corrie fans are concerned about what she could be capable of. @missmollybruton said: “Becky’s dark side looms (Why do I feel like she’s gonna go on the run and then show up and hold them hostage like Rob did?).” @TheConnorSwains commented: “I’m gonna go out on a limb here…. If Dark Becky looms (she does), Lisa falling into her arms won’t trigger her. But Lisa rebuking her, saying Carla’s it for her! Oh, that’s the spark! Dark Becky’ gonna stop at nothing to get rid of Carla…including murder. #Swarla #Corrie.” @LIAM8268661 replied: “That is a very good point. Whilst I have no doubt that Carla and Lisa will end up together, dark Becky needn’t show her face if they broke up temporarily.” @AngiBecher shared: “Dark Becky might be coming sooner than we thought.” Meanwhile, @carlascopper suggested: “Lisa mentioning siege week the other day makes me think Carla and Roy and Becky and underworld Tony Gordon style.” @sukiswain added: “yess I’ve been imagining something like this. they mentioned having done a dark scene idea of becky with just betsy and carla, after all. lisa would have to take becky down to save her family.”
