What Are The Six Killings In Feng Shui?

The “six killings” in Feng Shui, called “六煞” (Liu Sha) in Chinese, is an extremely important and mystical concept that deals with the negative influences hidden in the energy system around us. This concept is specifically part of the Eight Building Feng Shui system and is analysed based on the individual’s birth chart (Kua number).
What are the Six Killings?
The “six killings” refer to six types of inauspicious or obstructing energies that come from a particular direction and can cause negative situations in a person’s life, such as problems, accidents, betrayal, mental stress and breakups in relationships. It is not a literal “killing”, but a symbolic term that refers to the harms caused by energies associated with the wrong direction.
How does it work in Feng Shui?
According to Feng Shui, each person has a Kua number, which is determined according to his or her birth year and gender. This Kua number determines which directions are favourable and which are unfavourable for the individual. Of the eight directions, four are considered auspicious and four unfavourable. The “Six Kills” is one such unfavourable direction, which is particularly associated with moderate problems, neither extremely destructive nor too mild.
Effects of Six Kills
When a person places his door, bed, office table or other important activities facing his “Six Kills” direction, the following effects can be observed:

Legal problems: The person may get trapped in a false case or court dispute.
Stress in relationships: The possibility of separation, cheating or breakup with the partner increases.
Financial loss: Cheating in business or loss of money.
Mental disturbance: Anxiety, stress, confusion.
Sudden events: Accidents, injuries or unexpected troubles.
Family discord: Discord and lack of peace at home.

Six Killings Remedies
If the main entrance, bedroom or work area of your home or office is located in your Liu Sha (Six Killings) direction, here are some remedies to reduce this negative energy:

Use the metal element: In Feng Shui, it is believed that the metal element can pacify the “Sha Chi”. You can place metal wind chimes, brass objects or round metal showpieces in this direction.
Use protector symbols like Qilin or Pi Yao: These mythical Chinese creatures protect against negative energy. They are placed facing the direction of the “Six Killings”.
Use the Ba Gua mirror: This is a specific Feng Shui object that should be used with special caution and knowledge, as it can have the opposite effect if used incorrectly.
Change Direction: If possible, change the direction of the bed, desk or door so that they are in an auspicious direction.
Cleanliness and Light: Always keep the direction of the “six killings” clean and well-lit. Darkness and filth can further impair Sha Qi.
