A wild boar stood perfectly calm after breaking into a Florida home – but turned on beast mode when sheriff’s deputies came to evict it.

The large animal was captured on officers’ body camera footage inside the living room of the house in Lehigh Acres.

As the deputies approached, the black boar charged at them several times.

‘Easy, easy,’ one of the deputies could be heard saying as the boar ran at him.

‘Hey, bring me that rope.’

The deputy tried to lasso the boar but it escaped, and circled back at him, snorting and charging like a bull taking aim at a red-coloured target.

‘Whoa,’ the officer said.

The boar eventually took off, evading capture.

‘It’s going east towards the woods,’ a deputy said.

Homeowner Edward Wells, 82, said the feral animal ‘busted through the back door’ and appeared to be 300 pounds.

‘There was this huge explosion. It was like a shotgun, only much louder,’ Wells told WFTX.

‘I thought, “Oh my God, we’re being bombed.”‘

Wells added that the boar first attacked his dog, Bailey, before smashing through a sliding glass door. The boar hung out in his living room for roughly 40 minutes.

Bailey required some stitches after the attack, and is recovering.

Earl Rivera of High Wind Shutters found out about the weird attack after his wife shared the Facebook post and helped Wells out with a free sliding door replacement.

It happened more than a year-and-half after pig went on a mini-rampage at a McDonald’s in Springfield, Ohio, taking highway officers on a foot chase. The pig that escaped its owner was eventually captured and a video of the encounter ended with an officer petting it on its head.

‘There was a bit of oinking around in Springfield this week after a pig got loose and went hog wild,’ said the state highway patrol at the time.

‘In the end, the trooper & pig seemed to a-boar each other.’
