THE Okongo Village Council has appointed Jackson Muma as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective Monday.
Muma, a seasoned corporate communications and governance professional with over 15 years of experience in Namibia’s local authority sector, becomes the third person to hold this position.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Political Studies.
His contributions were nationally recognised in 2023 when the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology named him one of the Best Communicators in the Local Authority Category during its annual awards ceremony.
As CEO, Muma brings a wealth of experience in governance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
His leadership vision is deeply rooted in transparency, inclusive development, and sustainable community growth.
He has expressed his commitment to collaborating with the Council, government institutions, private sector partners, and residents to drive socio-economic transformation.
