Here’s when tickets go on sale for Lorain County Metro Parks’ 50th anniversary Halloween Fair
LaGRANGE, Ohio — Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. for the Lorain County Metro Parks’ 2025 Halloween Fair. The family-friendly event is set to return this October, bringing with it a milestone celebration: 50 years of spooky fun, family traditions and fall memories.
The event, which will take place at the Carlisle Visitor Center, will run across three weekends — Oct. 10-11, Oct. 17-18 and Oct. 24-25. A special All-Abilities Day will kick off the festivities on Oct. 9 featuring reduced lighting and sound effects, shorter lines and accessible trail rides.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. nightly, with activities continuing until 9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $7 per person, with free admission for children three and under. All tickets must be purchased in advance, either online, by phone at 440-458-5121 or in person at the Carlisle Visitor Center between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The fair’s signature haunted walking trail will open in two phases: a family-friendly version from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by the spooky trail from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., featuring live actors, mechanical props and themed walk-through stations.
The Boo Choo train will run continuously from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., treating riders to inflatable Halloween characters and festive displays during the seven-minute ride. Admission includes both trail access and train rides.
Carnival-style midway games will also be available, with tickets sold separately by cash only. Entertainment will include a live DJ, balloon artists and face painting.
Parking is free but limited to the Carlisle Visitor Center lot. Lot gates close promptly at 9:00 p.m., with the admissions booth closing at 9:15 p.m.
The Visitor Center building will remain closed during the event, but restroom trailers and accessible portable restrooms will be available on-site.
