His heritage and talent would likely resonate strongly, especially since, unlike some wrestlers who need an introduction, the former United States Champion already has a dedicated fanbase. This would also bring the opportunity to see Andrade face many opponents for the first time. It has the chance to bring something that we didn’t see in Andrade in AEW or WWE.
CMLL Would Love to Have La Sombra Following WWE Release
Andrade worked with CMLL for eight years as La Sombra, starting at the age of 14 as Brilliante Jr. A return to CMLL would be a homecoming for the third-generation wrestler, who enjoyed significant success there. He won the 2007 Torneo Gran Alternativa Tournament and the 2011 Universal Championship. As La Sombra, he also claimed the CMLL World Tag Team Championship, Mexican National Trios Championship, and NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship.
Given his remarkable achievements, choosing another promotion over CMLL might be a mistake. A return to CMLL, potentially recreating the Los Ingobernables stable, could elevate his status even further.
Andrade Can Join Game Changer Wrestling Like His Former WWE Colleagues
Once his non-compete clause expires, Andrade could follow other former WWE superstars like Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and Shotzi to Game Changer Wrestling (GCW). Matt Cardona has made a name for himself in GCW and the independent circuit, and Andrade could be the next to shine in the promotion.
In GCW, he might find a fresh start, both professionally and personally, as the high-energy environment could provide the momentum to revitalize his career and even his personal life. While there are familiar faces in the promotion, there will also be new ones. Meaning a whole new opportunity for storylines with new and former friends.
Andrade’s Total Nonstop Action Wrestling Arrival Seems Unlikely Following WWE Release
WWE and TNA maintain an ongoing relationship, making it unlikely that Andrade would move to TNA. It could be problematic, if not impossible, for TNA to sign a former WWE superstar after their non-compete clause expires, especially if the release was linked to a violation of WWE’s wellness policy. This could deter TNA from taking the risk of bringing him on board.
