New York Comedy Festival returns this November, and the fest touts a star-studded lineup for its 21st edition. Alex Edelman, Chris Fleming, the Basement Yard duo and a “Strangers With Candy” reunion are among the highlights of this year’s events, while Margaret Cho, Louis C.K., Hannah Berner, Pete Holmes, Nurse John, Morgan Jay, Ismo and Trevor Wallace are just a few of the bold-faced comedians set for performances.
The New York Comedy Festival runs from Friday, Nov. 7 through Nov. 16, with events spread throughout the city’s five boroughs. Tickets are available for all the week’s events on Stubhub, Vivid Seats and Ticketmaster.
One headlining event of the fest is the 19th annual Stand Up for Heroes event, which this year will feature performances from Mike Birbiglia, Alex Edelman, Lea Michele, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Tom Papa. The event, honoring United States veterans and service members, will take place Nov. 10 at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center.
Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez of the Basement Yard Duo, who have taken their podcast on the road this year, are set for a performance at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 13. Meanwhile, Carnegie Hall will host back-to-back standup from Edelman and Fleming on Nov. 15. Louis CK’s festival appearance is a residency at the Beacon Theatre from Nov. 14 – 16.
