HopeSpoke employee allegedly sexually assaulted resident

A 24-year-old employee of a child services organization was arrested Friday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a teenager in April.
Brandon Young, of Lincoln, is accused of sexually assaulting the 17-year-old boy who lived at HopeSpoke, an organization that provides behavioral and mental health services, including crisis and residential care.
Lincoln police began investigating after the HopeSpoke resident reported the abuse to a state hotline.
Police said the assault happened April 30 at about 10 p.m.
“The victim stated Young had driven him to go shopping,” police said. “On the way back, he parked the vehicle in the alley behind the facility, locked it and initiated inappropriate sexual contact with the teenager.”
Young was put on leave immediately and removed from having contact with other youths, police added.
He was jailed Friday on suspicion of child abuse, sexual abuse of a detainee and sexual abuse by a school worker.
