Ryanair says goodbye to paper boarding passes for Mallorca flights

Ryanair is saying goodbye to paper boarding passes. From 3 November, all flights—including those to and from Mallorca—will require passengers to use the airline’s mobile app for digital boarding passes. Paper versions will no longer be accepted.

The airline has assured passengers that those arriving at the airport with discharged phones or without mobile devices will receive free assistance. The main passenger on a booking can also download boarding passes for all travellers in their party and share them through WhatsApp or other digital platforms.

Mallorca flyers can catch Ryanair to key UK airports such as London Stansted, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham. Plus, free hand luggage allowances have grown slightly to 40 x 30 x 20 cm, and new measuring frames are already in place at airports.

The airline has also been making news for cutting some Spanish routes. Several Spanish airports will not appear on the winter schedule, signalling a shift in Ryanair’s operational approach.

Overall, this move highlights Ryanair’s push toward a fully digital, more streamlined travel experience. Passengers are being urged to update their apps and familiarise themselves with the new procedures to avoid last-minute surprises at the airport.
