Fans petition to save popular show abruptly canceled by Paramount+

Fans of the canceled series “Dexter: Original Sin” have started a petition for the show to make a comeback.
Paramount+ initially signed on for a second season of the show, but later reversed the decision.
The abrupt (and probably shocking) cancellation has prompted fans to launch a petition on Change.org demanding the return of the show.
In the petition, advocates for the show’s return say the series was “unjustly canceled” and “only just begun to unravel its complex storyline,” and offer a fresh perspective on Dexter Morgan.
As of Sept. 21, the petition has over 97,000 signatures.
“‘Dexter,’ as a franchise, has been a cultural phenomenon, and its return through ‘Original Sin’ promised an innovative extension of its legacy,” the petition states.
“Dexter: Original Sin” starred Michael C. Hall as forensic scientist turned serial killer Dexter Morgan. The original “Dexter” series ran from 2006 to 2013. “Dexter: Original Sin” is a prequel set in 1991, chronicling Dexter Morgan’s origin story. The series starred Patrick Gibson as a teenage Morgan.
