BAY CITY, MI – The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the participants for its Leadership Bay County Class of 2026.
The chamber selected 22 local professionals for the program, a nine-month opportunity designed to develop community leaders and deepen their understanding of local challenges and opportunities.
“Leadership Bay County continues to be a powerful catalyst for developing engaged, informed, and connected leaders in our community,” said Magen Samyn, President & CEO of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to welcome the Class of 2026 and look forward to the impact they will make as they grow through this program and contribute to Bay County’s future.”
The participants represent organizations across Bay County, including financial institutions, educational facilities, government agencies and private businesses. Participants include representatives from Saginaw Valley State University, Independent Bank, Bay County Health Department, Michigan Sugar Company, Delta College Planetarium and Bay City Department of Public Works, among others.
The program will focus on nine key areas affecting the region: transportation, economic development, human needs and services, agriculture, government and history, education, public safety and legal system, arts and culture, and natural resources. Participants will engage in educational sessions aimed at enhancing their leadership skills throughout the program’s duration.
