Gorka Marquez laughed as he said ‘everybody knows’ about his and Gemma Atkinson’s sex life as they were reunited after weeks apart. Fans will recall that the couple met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, but that they weren’t paired together, with Gemma dancing with pro Aljaz Skorjanec and Gorka with singer Alexandra Burke. Both pairings made the final but romance didn’t blossom for Gemma and Gorka until they took part in the Strictly Live tour, with the pair going official with their romance after it came to an end in early 2018. Gemma, 40, and Gorka, 35, then welcomed their first child, daughter Mia, in 2019., followed by their second, son Thiago, in 2023. In that time, the lovebirds have become no strangers to spells apart, particularly due to Gorka’s commitments with Strictly. That has been the reason for their most recent time away from one another, with the new series now just around the corner. Earlier this month, Gemma took to Instagram with a glam snap of the loved-up pair on wrote on her Story: “3 wks down, 4wks to go until I see Gorks again [heart emoji].” She then quipped, Although rather than looking like this…” before sharing a follow-up snap in which she could be seen sitting on the edge of her bed brushing her teeth while in the early months of having their first child, Mia, back in 2019. “It’ll be more likely this,” Gemma joked. It was then on Wednesday night (September 10), after hosting a launch for her new beauty and wellness brand, Gem & Tonic, that Gemma confirmed she was reuniting with her fiance. Speaking in a video as she settled down to watch the National Television Awards in her hotel room, she said: “I’m seeing Gorks. I’ve not seen Gorka for seven weeks and he’s finishing work soon.” It was then the following morning, on Thursday (September 11), that Gemma reshared a photo Gorka had snapped of her and shared to his Instagram Story with the captioned: “Morning view [face with heart eyes emoji],” before Gemma confirmed: “Reunited for 11 hours [crying laughing emoji].” It then seemed that Gorka went on to join Gemma as she recorded another episode of Hust As Well, the Women’s Health Podcast, which she co-hosts with Women’s Health Editor-in-Chief Claire Sanderson. Speaking in a video shared with her followers, Gemma said: “So I’m back on set, on Just As Well, The Women’s Health Podcast, that I do with Claire. Thank you to everyone that’s been listening, we’ve had some amazing guests. We’re recording again today but so far we’ve spoken to athletes, gut doctors, with spoken to PTS…” Gorka then interjected: “Our sex life, too.” Gemma replied: “Yes, we did an episode on sex.” Gorka went on: “That’s why everyone knows I do the willy dance.” As he demonstrated his moves, Gemma burst out laughing as she said: “Make sure you listen wherever you get your podcasts from,” before she turned to her other half and requested: “Do it again. Oh, there he is!” It comes after Gorka previously confirmed he wouldn’t be competing in Strictly this year, having had a partner for all but one of his years on the show so far. Taking to Instagram, the dancer told how he won’t be around until the end of the series as he takes on another role, but will be involved in the pre-recorded group numbers having joined his fellow pros in recent weeks. The Spaniard told his fans: “I am happy to announce that I will be back for season two of BAILANDO CON LAS ESTRELLAS as a judge from September. “Due to the filming dates this means that I won’t be competing with a partner this year in Strictly but I will be a part of lots of the group numbers and will be back for final weeks of the Show to support the rest of my fellow pros and their celebrities in what is going to be an AMAZING SERIES.” He then rounded off his announcement adding: “As always thank you for all The love and support and remember! Keep dancing!!!”
