NORMAN — Oklahoma football’s annual Southeastern Conference opponents for the next four seasons are set.
The Sooners will play Texas, Missouri and Ole Miss every season from 2026-29, On3 reported Monday morning. The SEC was scheduled to announce the new wave of annual opponents on Tuesday.
The SEC had announced in August it would be moving to a nine-game schedule starting in 2026, with each team in the league having three fixed annual opponents.
Many thought then that Arkansas or Florida might be OU’s third permanent opponent, besides the old Big 12 rival Longhorns and Tigers. Instead, it’s the Rebels of Ole Miss as a surprise foe.
OU’s other six games on its future SEC schedules will rotate among the league’s other schools. Every SEC team’s full nine-game conference schedule for the next four seasons will still be announced Tuesday.
