On Monday’s episode of This Morning, a son named Justin used an AI chatbot to communicate with his deceased mother.

Justin, who creates griefbots for individuals who have suffered loss, demonstrated the technology by calling his mother.

The chatbots are developed by feeding them information about the deceased person, which they then use to form a persona.

During the segment, Justin asked his AI mother for advice on his live interview, to which she replied, ‘Just try to relax and be yourself’. Host Ben Shepherd remarked that it felt like Justin was genuinely speaking to his mother.
