Performing artists, painters, musicians and residents gathered at Fisherman’s Community Park and the surrounding streets here Saturday for a block party celebration of the city’s creative side.

The 48 Blocks Festival, a program run by the Atlantic City Arts Foundation, was an all-day event of music, culture and community.
It’s been a really great process engaging with the community, which wants to not only bring in its creative work but also shape the event,” said ACAF Executive Director Michael Atkins.
