Loch Lomond is the perfect destination for an autumn weekend away. With panoramic views out over one of Scotland’s most iconic lochs and plenty of idyllic walking trails nearby, it is hard to think of somewhere better to spend a staycation as we enter the new season. All around the edge of Loch Lomond, there are lots of hotels and holiday rentals that can be booked for a getaway. One of these is the Rowardennan Hotel, where holidaymakers can currently stay at a major discount. At the moment, Wowcher is offering a one-night stay at the hotel for £79. This is a 56 per cent discount from the standard cost of £180. The Rowardennan Hotel offers both double and twin rooms that feature “cosy beds” and en-suite bathrooms. According to Wowcher, many of the guest rooms also benefit from views out across Loch Lomond . It has a rating of 3.4 out of five on travel website Tripadvisor after 1,054 reviews. One happy guest shared: “Where do I even begin? Just love the place! “The most unreal surroundings views are incredible! The staff are all so friendly and helpful, special thanks to Peter and Ethan in the bar, amazing service! “Such a cosy atmosphere in the bar area. Food is also 10/10 I personally highly recommend the chilli and garlic prawns, cajun chicken salad and the haggis bon bons!” On the other hand, a negative review reads: “Room was ok but the food was like in a hostel. Service was quick but you were forced to order and the breakfast was made and served without love. “Just another place where money is made from walkers.” Another satisfied visitor shared: “A very comfortable stay with a decent breakfast and dinner. Rooms spacious and had everything we needed as walkers. “Complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee in room. Staff very friendly. “Would definitely book again and very convenient for West Highland Way!” Additional information about the Rowardennan Hotel deal can be found on the Wowcher website .
