Packers Get Bold Jayden Daniels Prediction From NFL Analyst

In Week 2, the Green Bay Packers will look to extend their winning ways as they battle the Washington Commanders, last season’s NFC Championship runner-up.During their Week 1 matchup against the Detroit Lions, Green Bay’s suffocating defense helped them win 27-13 against their division rivals. Many considered Detroit a Super Bowl contender heading into the season, but the Packers made them look far from it.The Commanders also won their first game, although they admitted to sloppy play and mistakes. Still, quarterback Jayden Daniels played well enough to lead his squad to a 21-6 win over the New York Giants.Read more: Lions’ Dan Campbell Makes Bold Statement to Ben Johnson for Bears GameLast season’s NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year threw for 233 yards and a touchdown, and picked up 68 yards running the ball. However, he also got sacked three times for a loss of 21 yards. Before Thursday’s game, one NFL analyst shared an intriguing prediction about how Daniels might fare against the Packers.During ESPN’s ‘First Take,’ Peter Schrager spoke about the Packers defeating the Lions due to their impressive defense.”What they did to the Lions on Sunday was maybe the greatest performance by any one unit all last week, and that includes the Bills offense,” Schrager said.He also suggested that he believes the Packers, who will be hosting the Commanders on Thursday, could cause problems for Daniels.”Don’t be shocked if they come out there and shut down Jayden Daniels,” Schrager said on First Take.He mentioned the Packers had four sacks and nine tackles for a loss against Detroit. While Schrager said Green Bay’s newly acquired defensive star Micah Parsons received a lot of headlines, he praised the other Packers defenders who deserved credit. They include Quay Walker, Rashan Gary, and Lukas Van Ness, whom Schrager called “unblockable.”Green Bay’s defense recorded 84 total tackles against the Lions in Week 1, with Edgerrin Cooper’s eight solo and 12 total leading the way.Walker had six solo tackles, including two tackles for losses. Gary compiled seven total tackles and recorded 1.5 sacks in the win. Van Ness assisted on a sack and had a tackle for a loss. While Commanders QB Jayden Daniels had a stellar debut in his rookie season, he never faced this Packers team in the regular season or playoffs, especially not at Lambeau Field.Read more: Falcons Get Big Drake London Injury Update for Vikings GameFor more on the Detroit Lions and the NFL, visit Newsweek Sports.
