Cyprus will see mostly clear skies Wednesday, with localized cloud buildup expected in the afternoon, according to the national meteorological service.
Winds will begin light and variable at around 3 Beaufort, gradually shifting to southwesterly and northwesterly at light to moderate strength, reaching 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will be calm to slightly choppy.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 37 degrees Celsius inland, 30 degrees along the western coast, around 32 degrees on other coastal areas, and 26 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, though low clouds may develop in some areas. Winds will shift to northwesterly and northeasterly, with southeasterly breezes along the northern coast, remaining light at 3 Beaufort. Seas will be calm to slightly disturbed. Overnight temperatures will drop to 20 degrees inland, around 22 degrees on the coast, and 17 degrees in mountainous regions.
Thursday is expected to remain mostly sunny, though afternoon cloud buildup may lead to isolated showers, particularly in mountainous areas.
Friday and Saturday will be predominantly clear. Temperatures on Thursday will remain above seasonal averages, but a noticeable drop is expected heading into the weekend.
