Kicker Brandon Aubrey drilled a 46-yard field goal as time expired in overtime to lift Dallas to its first win under coach Brian Schottenheimer, and Aubrey also forced OT by hitting a 64-yarder as time expired in that session. The two clutch kicks lifted Dallas to an important early victory in the team’s bid to keep pace in the NFC East Division.

The Bears have already fallen behind in the NFC Central with division losses to the Minnesota Vikings (27-24) and Detroit Lions (52-21) in Weeks 1 and 2, the latter of which delivered a blow to early momentum in the Ben Johnson Era in Chicago. The first-year head coach had reason to be encouraged by quarterback Caleb Williams (207 yards, 2 TDs) and his ground game (134 yards, TD), but saw his defense allow a nearly perfect efficiency score (156.0) to Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who finished with 334 passing yards on 28 attempts and five touchdowns.
