Kim Kardashian Warned Kanye West About “Burning Bridges” in Phone Call

Kim Kardashian once issued a stark warning to then-husband Kanye West.

In the new documentary, In Whose Mind?, out now, featuring never-before-seen footage of the “Gold Digger” rapper over the course of six years, he and Kim had a tense confrontation over is In 2018, the two had a tense phone call in which the two discussed how he is perceived by the people in his life.

“I can’t sleep. I’ve been crying all day,” Kim told Kanye during the 2018 conversation, according to People. “It’s just this bad dream that’s not ending.”

However, Kanye—who has in recent years stirred controversy over social media posts and politics—seemed to brush off Kim’s concern. “I don’t care about the music business,” he responded. “I don’t care about the work field. I’m in a slave business.”

The Kardashians star then went on to caution her then-husband against that mentality, telling him, to which the SKIMS founder replied, “Just ’cause you have a job and you work hard doesn’t mean you’re a slave.”

And in a clip from the Nicolas Ballesteros documentary viewed by E! News, Kim emphasized that she is “not about burning bridges with companies,” adding, “You’re gonna wake up one day and you’re gonna have, like, nothing.”
