Guns, Gaza & Indian Visas: What Made Trump Ally Charlie Kirk Controversial? His 5 Shocking Claims

Charlie Kirk, US President Donald Trump’s key ally, died on Wednesday (September 10) after being shot during an event at Utah University. However, the right-wing commentator has been a part of several controversies due to his remarks on racism, Indians in the US, the Gaza war, gun deaths, and several other heated topics. The 31-year-old Trump aide was also the executive director of the conservative Turning Point USA advocacy group. Following the shooting, a manhunt was underway to identify and locate his shooter. Kirk has made several controversial and extreme claims against many key issues, including abortion, migration, gun violence in the US, targeting Indians, and women, too. Gun violence Earlier, Kirk claimed that gun deaths are “worth it” in order for the US to continue having the Second Amendment. The viral video has not surfaced on social media, in which he is seen saying, “I think it’s worth having a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.” Calling it a “prudent deal”, Kirk said that it is rational too. Ironically, since he also died in gun violence, the video has now been making the rounds on the internet, with people reacting to it. Perhaps no form of legal immigration has so displaced American workers as those from India. Enough already. We’re full. Let’s finally put our own people first,” he posted on X earlier this month. ‘Israel not starving Gazans’ Earlier in July this year, Kirk, being a strong supporter of Israel against the Gaza war, said that Israel is not starving Gazans. He even called the images of starving children in Gaza “propaganda”, saying it’s “emotional, visual, and optical warfare.” Abortion and rape Kirk, during a debate, when asked what he would do if his underage daughter got pregnant as a result of rape, replied without hesitation. He said, “That’s awfully graphic. But the answer is yes, the baby would be delivered.” He has been reflecting the debate over abortion as a “spiritual battle between good and evil” and has also accused women who have abortions of having committed murder. ‘Transgenderism, a mental disorder’ Charlie Kirk has always been against trans people, just like Trump. Last year in September, during his visit to Kansas State University, he said, “Transgenderism is a mental disorder… I want people who are suffering from transgenderism to get health care because I have compassion for people.” He further described trans people as “a throbbing middle finger to God” and an “abomination”.
