Time-travel mystery thriller set in a French hospital

This four-part French thriller is set around a hospital where cardiac surgeon Marc Honore is murdered in his office on the same night he calls his ex-wife Anna to tell her he knew who had framed him for a series of suspicious deaths. If that weren’t mystery enough, the lights go out in the lift and time cranks back one year for its three occupants.

Each is closely tied to the dead surgeon. Anna and ambulance driver Cedric want to investigate the suspicious deaths Marc was accused of. Police detective Juliette, whose husband died after being treated by Marc, is harder to convince, but eventually joins them in the investigation. We also follow their personal lives, including Cedric’s attempts to woo the woman who had just accepted his marriage proposal but whom he was yet to meet when he landed back in the past. And yes, it makes him come off a bit creepy.

Will events play out as they did the first time? Can the murder be prevented, and will the personal lives of the trio improve? The time-travel element is a bit of a sci-fi gimmick but it adds an extra layer of interest to the murder mystery and, at a tight and neat four episodes, this series doesn’t test the patience but gets straight down to business.
