Gaurav Banerjee will serve as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Culver Max Entertainment, which operates under the consumer-facing brand Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), until Aug 2029.His five-year tenure was ratified by shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting on August 25 through a resolution under the Companies Act, 2013. His appointment is effective August, 2024.Banerjee has been associated with the company since August 2024 as an Additional Director. The resolution regularises his position as a full-time Director.Queries sent to SPNI did not elicit a response until the publication of this report. Banerjee had replaced NP Singh as MD and CEO of SPNI last year.The AGM also approved the appointments of General Counsel Ritesh Khosla and CFO Sibaji Biswas as Whole-time Directors for five-year terms, effective December 2024 and February 2025, respectively.Live EventsAccording to the statutory explanatory statement, none of the appointees hold shares in the company or have any relational interests with other directors or key managerial personnel.SPNI operates 28 TV channels across genres and its OTT platform SonyLIV.
