The Albatros Circuit is due to host its 11th tournament of the year on Sunday, September 14, at the stunning Guadalmina Sur course in Marbella, making its return to the Costa del Sol after the July event in Mijas’ El Chaparral.
The competition is the opening of a busy September with three tournaments offering 12 spots for the Grand Final, set for October 18 at Playa Serena in Roquetas de Mar, AlmerÃa.
Since March, nearly 1,000 golfers have competed across Seville, Huelva, Almeria, Cordoba, Granada, Cadiz, Portugal, and Murcia. The tournament, which is endorsed by golf maestro PepÃn Liria, has attracted celebrities like Liz Emiliano and former footballers Roberto Lopez Ufarte and Aleix Vidal. Registration for the 100 available spots remains open until Friday, September 12.
With four categories and emphasis on female participation, the event also boosts Costa del Sol’s tourism appeal. A gastronomic tent will feature Andalusian products like Amarga y Pica olive oil, Alhambra beers, and Puleva products, while participants will receive a welcome pack with Srixon balls, tees, a personalised towel, and entry into a golf equipment raffle.
Following Marbella, the circuit continues on September 21 in La Garza, Linares, and September 27 in La Cañada, Sotogrande, before heading off to Madrid’s RACE on October 5-6 and concluding with the Grand Final. Winners from this event will join other category champions and the top four ranked players, determined by their three best scorecards, to compete in Roquetas de Mar with accommodation included. Inscription can be done at circuitoalbatros.es.
