Private, but not a secret, appears to be Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams’ motto.

The couple are more than happy to be spotted out and about together, but they’re less willing to discuss the ins and outs of their relationship publicly.

Paul and Gracie, who is the nepo daughter of renowned filmmaker J.J. Abrams, were first publicly linked in the summer of 2024, and have gone from strength to strength, even sparking engagement speculation.

During his cover interview with Rolling Stone, when asked if there was a particular moment he and Gracie decided to make their relationship public, Paul said: ‘I don’t know how to answer that. I actually do have an answer, but everything to do with that is deeply precious to me and I don’t want to.… This isn’t … I don’t really … umm … I want to protect those things fundamentally.’

Elsewhere, Paul spoke of his personal goals for the future, saying: ‘I would love to have a family. I’m not like, “I want them tomorrow,” but I would love to have kids.’

Paul and Grace first sparked romance rumours when they were spotted out together in June 2024. Just a few weeks later, the pair fueled speculation when they were papped in the same shopping vicinity as one another.

A source then told The Sun: ‘Paul and Gracie looked like any other young couple hitting the shops, and they went almost unnoticed. They seemed very relaxed in each other’s company and were busy checking out the posh shops on Bond Street.’

‘Paul is a very low-key person, as is Gracie, so there was no fanfare and they kept their distance from each other when they were out on the street,’ the source continued.

It seems Paul might’ve gotten a tad frustrated by his little sis Nell soft-launching his romance with Gracie, so he later took the next step and confirmed their romance.
