The Beacon Awards, now in its third year, shines a spotlight on the people and enterprises that make the district such a vibrant place to live, work and visit. From innovative start-ups and established employers, to inspiring social enterprises and community groups, the awards are designed to recognise the very best of local talent and dedication.

Nominations are open to the public, and anyone can put forward a business, charity, organisation or partnership they feel deserves recognition. Self-nominations are also welcomed.
Councillor Phil Whitehouse, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Operational Services, Parks and Waste, said: “The Beacon Awards are all about celebrating the remarkable contributions businesses and organisations make to our district. From driving economic growth to supporting communities and protecting our environment, these awards give us the chance to say thank you and to recognise excellence. I would encourage everyone to get involved and nominate those who are making a real difference in Lichfield.”
Councillor Richard Holland, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for High Street and Economic Development, added: “The Beacon Awards is a fantastic event and a great opportunity to put the spotlight on outstanding businesses from across the district. The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at the National Memorial Arboretum on Thursday, November 27, bringing together local leaders, entrepreneurs, and community champions.
