UK fashion brand NEXT partners with Myntra to launch first exclusive outlet in Pune

Ahead of the festive season, UK-based fashion retailer NEXT has expanded its presence in India with the launch of its first exclusive brand outlet (EBO) at Pavilion Mall in Pune. The store has been opened in partnership with Myntra Jabong India (MJIPL), the B2B wholesale arm of Myntra, the company announced in a press release on Friday. The first store in Pune spans 7,100 sq. ft.”In addition to Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs), NEXT will also expand its presence through shop-in-shop formats at multi-brand retail stores such as Shoppers Stop. In the next five to six years, NEXT aims to expand to over 50 points of sale (EBOs and shop-in-shop formats) across India, in association with MJIPL’s licensed franchisee partners with key Indian cities, including Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, in the pipeline,” said the press statement. As part of the strategic association with NEXT, MJIPL has the licensed rights to distribute the brand’s range of products and the brand’s rights to its licensed franchisee partners for opening and operating stores, while holistically scaling NEXT’s omni-channel presence in India.”The opening of our first NEXT store in Pune is a pivotal moment in our partnership with Myntra,” a spokesperson for NEXT said. “We are incredibly excited to bring the NEXT retail experience to our Indian customers, offering them direct access to our latest collections.”India is a key strategic market for NEXT globally. The rapidly expanding consumer base, with a high and fast-growing appetite for international fashion and strong retail infrastructure, makes India central to the brand’s international growth strategy. Live EventsBefore the pandemic, about 12 global brands entered India each year on average, according to analysts at Cushman & Wakefield. That number rose to 14 in 2023 and has nearly doubled in 2024, with up to 27 foreign brands making their entry into the Indian market, data from real estate firms showed.Add as a Reliable and Trusted News Source Add Now!
