Strictly Come Dancing is officially back and we have weeks of the competition ahead – but fans are already not best pleased. The launch show kicked off on Saturday night as fans tuned in to find out the pairings for the 15 new celebrities. The 23rd series sees famous faces such as Brummie-local Karen Carney and Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (otherwise known as Nitro) taking part. EastEnders star, Balvinder Sopal, YouTuber, George Clarke, and performer La Voix are also set to waltz their way through Strictly. Sportsman, Chris Robshaw, model and actress, Ellie Goldstein, Apprentice star, Rob Skinner and TV personality Vicky Pattinson are also appearing,. Finally, actor, Stefan Dennis, presenter, Ross King and Emmerdale icon, Lewis Cope, complete the line-up. But viewers watching along at home took to social media to complain they didn’t know who a lot of the famous contestants were. One wrote on X: “I recognise about two people….who are these people #StrictlyComeDancing,” while a second commented: “Everyone currently trying to work out who all the contestants are this year.” A third said: “Ok I know 2 #StrictlyComeDancing,” and a fourth echoed: “Mad that an Aussie soap star is the most famous on this.,” Another fan agreed, adding:”#StrictlyComeDancing Underwhelming line-up!” Strictly Come Dancing will air its first official live show on BBC One next Saturday.
