Taylor Frankie Paul wants any of her potential The Bachelorette suitors to know that she’s a proud single mother.
“Me when the men step out of the limo,” Taylor, 31, wrote on a Thursday, September 18, Instagram video of herself dancing in a sports bra and leggings.
In the clip, Taylor lip-synched to Huda Mustafa’s now-viral Love Island USA monologue about parenthood. (During season 7, which aired this summer, the 24-year-old told fellow Islander Nic Vansteenberghe that she was “a mommy” before he asked if Huda was a puppy parent instead of the parent of a human child.)
“‘A mom of what?’” Taylor captioned her post. “BYE 🌹.”
Taylor shares daughter Indy, 7, and son Ocean, 4, with ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as son Ever, 17 months, with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
After Taylor and Dakota, 32, split for good earlier this year, ABC named the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star as the new Bachelorette.
“I’m most looking forward to meeting a handful of people that are outside my bubble — and even if there’s a couple in there, that’s OK — but I’m just excited to get to know different perspectives and new parts about myself too,” Taylor exclusively told Us Weekly after the announcement. “It’s out of my comfort zone, so, obviously, it’s scary. You’re dealing with feelings — and you’re dealing with other people’s feelings — and I don’t really like to hurt other people’s feelings, especially when you’re being vulnerable and open.”
While Taylor admitted that it will be “really hard” to send contestants home, she’s still open to the possibility that she meets The One and gets engaged.
“That’s the goal here, and as my mom likes to say, I do fall in love quickly, and that’s also the reason I did it,” Taylor told Us. “I always call myself a lover girl because I fall for people and I have done that in the past. Obviously, I got married young, and the first guy I dated was my second baby daddy — so it was just very quick.”
Who Is the Best Bachelorette of All Time?
She continued, “This time, it’s going to be really cool because … I’m about to date, you know, 20 [or] 30 guys, and I’ve never done that before. I’m going to take my time, I’m going to kind of, like, get to know people. Maybe I learned things I didn’t like or do like that I didn’t even know. So I think this is gonna be really good for the long-term effect.”
Taylor is hardly the first single parent to join Bachelor Nation. Former leads Jason Mesnick and Emily Maynard each had kids from previous relationships when they appeared as the show lead, as had a number of other contestants.
Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette is set to premiere in 2026.
