Activate Games plans to open two new interactive game-room venues in New Jersey, expanding beyond its current spot in the American Dream mall.
The company describes its locations as “the world’s first active gaming facility.”
Activate Games offers immersive, tech-driven game rooms where players collaborate on real-life challenges testing both physical and mental agility.
The concept aims to attract families, friends, and corporate teams by blending physical activity with interactive technology.
Activate Games plans a 14,650-square-foot location at St. Georges Crossing shopping center in Woodbridge. An opening date has not yet been disclosed.
North Plainfield-based Levin Management Corp., which manages the 343,000-square-foot ShopRite-anchored shopping center, announced the lease signing this week.
“Activate Games is an exciting, cutting-edge entertainment concept that enhances the experience at St. Georges Crossing,” E.J. Moawad, LMC senior leasing representative said in a statement. “It’s a great complement to the center’s retail and dining lineup and further supports our strategy of creating a well-rounded, high-traffic destination.”
Another Active Games location in Cherry Hill is listed as coming soon on the company’s website. The address is 1509 Route 38, the site of a closed retail pharmacy.
The gaming company currently operates more than 30 locations across North America.
