The issue of ‘lack of civic sense’ among Indians is yet again in the headlines- after an embarrassing video of a family traveling from the Purushottam Express was shared online. The clip showed the family surrounded by some angry Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs) and other staff members, as they confronted the passengers over allegedly ‘stealing bedsheets’ from the train. Yes, you read that correctly. The clip showed a woman taking out multiple bedsheets from her bag, as the family allegedly had hidden the bedsheets among their luggage. As per the viral post, the passengers were travelling from Purushottam Express’s 1st AC coach. The Purushottam Express train travels from Puri to Delhi. As soon as the post went viral, netizens began to react. Most suggested introducing a post of ‘train hostess’ to reduce such incidents, while some tagged the authorities in the clip and demanded action. The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘bapisahoo’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than 52K views from people.
