Everybody recognises the name Danny Dyer, he’s an EastEnders legend who first made a name himself in the Cardiff based film Human Traffic . Although, how well do you know his namesake? His daughter Dani Dyer is best known for winning the fourth season Love Island in 2018, and now she will be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in the hopes of winning the coveted glitterball trophy. The TV personality is well-known on our screens, but in recent years her private life with her ex-footballer husband has made the news too. Dani first appeared on our screens on the ITV dating reality show Survival of the Fittest, which was meant to be the alternative to Love Island when the series wasn’t on, however she dislocated her shoulder on the show and had to withdraw. After their time on the ITV dating show the pair’s relationship was catapulted in to the media, as they later starred in their own reality show Jack & Dani: Life After Love Island. Since then, she has co-presented True Love or True Lies with her father on MTV and now the pair also co-host a podcast called Sorted with the Dyers together. Her extensive career before, during and after Love Island is how Dani has managed to achieve an impressive net worth which is estimated at £7.1 million according to Finance Monthly. Before appearing on the ITV dating shows, she was in a relationship with Sammy Kimmence, a former tradey who she rekindled her relationship with after her and Jack broke up in late 2018. She then fell pregnant with his son, Santi, who she later gave birth to in January 2021. She then reportedly split from Sammy after he was jailed for 3½ years after scamming two elderly men out of £34,000. Not long after, Dani announced she was in a new relationship with her now husband, former England and West Ham United footballer Jarrod Bowen. In 2022, she discovered she was pregnant with twin girls, Summer and Star, who she gave birth to in May 2023. She has described herself on social media as “so lucky”, thanks to her family unit. In 2023, the TV personality released a documentary called Dani Dyer: Is This Anxiety? which was released on E4. The film followed Dani discussing her mental health and the connection to motherhood. She explained to the PA news agency at the time: “I just feel like, obviously, anxiety, mental health is spoken about, but I still feel like there is that stigma around motherhood and how you’re supposed to feel when you become a mum. So I just feel like it was something to talk about, and definitely encourage other young women, and obviously, other mums to speak up if they feel like they really need to, and I really hope that sort of comes across like that on the documentary.” Dyer also said that West Ham United and England winger Bowen, 26, who she described as “so laid back” and “chilled”, has “never really suffered from anxiety”. She added: “If I ever sort of share with (him) how I’m feeling, he’s really, really good at just sort of getting them thoughts out of my brain. I think that’s really important as well, to have a partner that can sort of laugh with you, cry with you, and just understand you really. I think that’s so important to have a partner that you also really fancy but also (is) your best friend as well.” The pair later announced their engagement on July 21, 2024 and married earlier this year on May 20, 2025. Delighting her Instagram followers, after the big day Dyer posted a heartfelt photograph of the newlyweds walking down the aisle hand-in-hand, captioned “The Bowens”. Dani opted for a low-key wedding, and keen to stick to tradition, she reportedly stayed separately from her football star fiancé on the eve of the wedding as she stayed with her parents, Danny and Jo. While the celebrity couple’s fan base is large, the guest list for their VIP wedding has been kept small as the couple are said to have invited only 50 guests to celebrate their big day.
