I predicted Jimmy Kimmel's downfall. But the real reason he got canceled has nothing to do with Charlie Kirk: KENNEDY

Ding-dong, the wicked witch is dead!

ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air for the foreseeable future – and hundreds, no thousands, of devoted watchers are sobbing in their electric vehicles.

Let’s be honest: The Late Show with Stephen Colbert – canceled in May – was the late-night ratings leader and it was reportedly losing $40 million a year for Paramount!

I don’t think Jimmy’s show was exactly a cash cow.

Disney – ABC’s owner – must have been salivating over the thought of giving Kimmel the ol’ heave ho and that dumdum delivered them the opportunity on a silver platter with an idiotic (disprovable) abomination of a monologue in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Looking back, it’s a miracle that it was five whole days before Kimmel dove head-first into the gutter of unnecessary, leftist vitriol and spin, when on Monday night he accused Trump’s supporters of lying to America about Kirk’s murderer.

‘We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,’ he said.

Where’s the joke?

If I were an Upper East Side Karen, I’d be shrieking, ‘Misinformation!’

On Sunday, Utah Governor Spencer Cox said it looked like the gunman had a ‘leftist ideology’ and a transgender lover. Now, even the killer’s mother says he was radicalized by hateful, progressive propagandists.

Sounds super MAGA.

And, by the way, if anyone was immediately politicizing this shooting, it was Jimmy himself.

It’s not hard to read between the lines of his statement the day Kirk was killed: ‘On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.’

Here, Kimmel is extending sympathy to all victims of gun violence, because to show empathy solely to Erika Kirk and her children would be too humane for this blathering limousine liberal.

After I heard Kimmel’s kibble, I predicted on Fox News on Tuesday that he was cooked.

Disney/ABC hasn’t shown a big appetite for lawsuits these days. You know what I’m saying, George Stephanopoulos?

And of course, Kimmel wasn’t the only hatemonger spewing false narratives this week.

American Federation of Teachers union president Randi Weingarten reposted a disgusting screed from a woman who nearly exactly reflected Kimmel’s vile smear: ‘The leftist students in Utah who didn’t want Charlie Kirk to speak did what leftists do: they signed petitions, staged a protest, and lined up to challenge him. The right winger who didn’t want Charlie Kirk to speak did what right wingers do and shot him. We are not the same!’

Isn’t this rewriting of history something that liberals are supposedly against? Yet here they are – spinning one of the darkest days in modern American history.

And, like clockwork, the liberal media rushes to Kimmel’s defense.

Factually challenged CNN sent in network stalwarts Bobblehead Brian Stelter and Jake ‘The Lying Snake’ Tapper to rationalize Kimmel’s ghoulish statements.

‘Kimmel was expressing what we’ve heard some other liberals say in recent days that the motives are unclear and that maybe the suspect in this case was a Republican or was some sort of far-right fringe figure,’ said Stelter.

Dude, are you huffing glue?

The motives, while not proven, were exceedingly clear – and even on Monday, anyone with a brain could have made a pretty good guess.

Next, Tapper – who once bullied Lara Trump for observing that President Biden was stumbling around like a lobotomy patient only to then write his own book about the cover-up of Biden’s mental decline – gave Kimmel the benefit of the doubt.

‘That could be heard in several ways,’ he said of Kimmel’s monologue. ‘It could also be interpreted… it could also be argued, he’s saying that what the MAGA gang is doing is just trying to make sure that they don’t have any ownership of it, not necessarily that that this killer, this horrible person, was part of them.’

After Biden’s cognitive exam, maybe you’d like one, Jake?

Kimmel’s remarks can only be read one way: he is a lazy, partisan hack who mistook propaganda for entertainment.

And now the Left has the gall to scream, ‘Censorship!’

Enter: Barry O!

‘After years of complaining about cancel culture,’ former President Barack Obama wrote to his X followers on Thursday. ‘The current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.’

Oh, put a sock in it! This is the same Left that systemically intimidated the media into suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story, any number of prescient criticisms of Covid vaccine mandates, and has controlled and directed American culture for decades.

Pot meet kettle.

Here’s the truth. To paraphrase these cynical liberals – who can’t bring themselves to mourn the murder of an innocent man without adding a qualifier: I didn’t agree with Jimmy Kimmel. But he shouldn’t be canceled.

No one should lose a job – in the media or otherwise – for saying something that offends the government.

But that’s not what happened here.

Kimmel got canceled because he offended the American viewing public en masse. That’s just bad business.

No one is entitled to host a late-night show – and the public is owed a little decency.

Jimmy traded laughs for sermons a long time ago.

Now he has, rightfully, lost his pulpit.
