Hi, it’s Nikki Ekstein, your resident travel expert. I’m just back from a week in Marrakesh, Morocco, where I was able to steal away for only one short evening to shop and eat my way through the kaleidoscopic medina.
Most of the time I was in the Palais des Congrès, a small but charming convention center adjacent to the old city where industry folks convene annually for an experiential travel expo called Pure Life Experiences. Don’t feel too bad for me: As part of the programming we get whisked around to check out all the city’s most over-the-top hotels (Marrakesh is particularly great at going over the top), and the meetings tend to be genuinely inspiring.
