Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba says her office is working with the police to ensure that those responsible for killing ANC Youth League member, Nkateko Mbhoma, face the full might of the law.
Ramathuba was speaking at Mbhoma’s funeral service at Makuleke Village outside Malamulele.
Mbhoma was gunned down in the North West while travelling with six other ANCYL members to the party’s national general council in the Northern Cape.
Their taxi came under heavy gunfire, killing Mbhoma and leaving the others unharmed.
Police have arrested two suspects on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Ramathuba says the province will only find closure once the motive behind Mbhoma’s murder is revealed.
“I’m just appealing to the people of the province, people of our country, painful as it is, I’m confident our men and women in blue will get to the bottom of it because I do understand for the family to come to closure, for the people of Collins Chabane, the community of Makuleke to be able to find closure it’s when they would have found the answers many of us continue to ask for, why him? What really happened?”
