Is Cardi B’s New Album Am I The Drama? A Dig At JT And Ice Spice? What We Know

On Friday, 19 September, rapper Cardi B dropped her first studio album in more than seven years, Am I the Drama?, and immediately stoked feuds with several artists. Cardi, who was born Belcalis Almánzar, delivers verses filled with direct disses and name-checks, leaving fans buzzing.
The first track, Magnet, appears aimed at City Girls rapper JT. Cardi takes shots at a “fake friend” who betrayed her: “Now let’s discuss this hating-ass bitch, ungrateful-ass bitch / I don’t care, met somebody, gotta say it-ass bitch / Fake friend-ass bitch, clown-ass bitch.” Their feud began in 2022 when JT seemed to overlook Cardi on GloRilla’s Tomorrow 2. JT has dissed Cardi since on tracks like No Bars (2023) and Sideways (2024). Cardi once called her a “lapdog” on X, and on Magnet, she brands her a “tail-wagging ass bitch.”
Drag on Lil Uzi Vert and Ice Spice
In the second verse, Cardi brings JT’s partner Lil Uzi Vert into the mix, stressing that while her ex Offset cheated, they never shared personal belongings: “All that dick ridin’, still ain’t get no feature-ass bitch… My n—- cheat, but I don’t stick no dildos in his ass, bitch… You look like a hot mess, easily impressed-ass bitch.”
Cardi also aims at Ice Spice, calling her a “snow-face bitch” and declaring: “Whose spot is you takin’? My spot’s forever, ho, I’m like a Dalmatian.” Listeners believe this is a rebuttal to Ice Spice’s 2024 track BB Belt, which was thought to reference Cardi.
Heartbreak and the Break-up with Offset
On Man of Your Word, Cardi reflects on her marriage to Offset, from whom she applied for divorce in July 2024: “I really hope you find love, I hope you find a good spirit / I hope she satisfies your needs and everything that I didn’t… And if I had one wish, I only wish you would’ve been a man of your word.”
What’s Goin’ On outlines the lies that strained their marriage: “Seems like every day, a new lie… Come to find out you’re the one loud.” In Shower Tears, Cardi vents her exhaustion: “This s— is embarrassin’, I am not no average bitch… For all of this, might as well just be alone again.”
Hitting Back at BIA on “Pretty and Petty”
Cardi goes after BIA on Pretty and Petty, a response to the rapper’s 2024 track SUE MEEE?: “Thought your ass was for the culture, you just tryin’ to ride the wave / You should be home with your kids ’cause bitch, you speak like second grade… Name five BIA songs, gun pointin’ to your head… I’d rather die on the surgery table before I gotta walk around here lookin’ like you.”

Speaking on The Breakfast Club on 19 September, Cardi explained: “You mentioned my kids tryna be cute… When my kids grow up one day and they see that you mentioned them, they’re gonna ask me… I’m gonna be like, ‘You see how I violated? She added, I actually had a conversation with her and I was like, ‘Listen, I’m not copying you. I don’t even look at you. You’re not a person that I look at or I’m inspired by.
With Am I the Drama?, Cardi B makes it clear she’s not shying away from old disputes, and she’s reclaiming her space in rap.
