Angel Reese Announces World Tour After Reebok Signature Shoes Sell Out In Record Time

Giving Angel Reese her own signature shoe was the smartest move that Reebok could’ve made. Everyone questioned the shoewear brand for such a ‘hasty’ decision, saying it would’ve been better to wait, but in AR’s words, “Why not now?” Instead of releasing in 2026, Reebok and Reese pushed the date back by an entire year, releasing the Angel Reese 1s on September 18th, 2025. And in a (not so surprising) update, they sold out within thirty minutes!
But this is just the start for the Chicago Sky star. As of right now, only three AR1 colorways are available: Diamond Dust, Mebounds, and Receipts Ready. They’re completely sold out on the Reebok website, with fans expecting restocks, but Dick’s Sporting Goods and shoe resellers like StockX still have them on the shelves. On top of this, three more colorways are on the way–Charm City, King Tiago, and Giving Grace. There’s a lot more to come in Angel Reese’s Reebok journey.
Angel Reese, in an exclusive interview with Swish Cultures, discussed her plans for the future after the AR1s. “I’m going to take it worldwide.” Her six-word answer said it all. “I plan on going to, like, a world tour. I haven’t been overseas much, so I want to go overseas. And I know I have a lot of fans in Australia, Tokyo, [and] in Europe. So, I’m excited to go overseas and kind of show that off.” So, a world tour is on the cards, and it’s probably gonna happen soon!

Unlike their male counterparts, the WNBA has a huge off-season. Most players elect to play in Unrivaled or other professional leagues around the world, but it would make sense for Angel Reese to embolden her brand during this time. After all, some things are bigger than the sport, and financially? It would pay her more than any WNBA contract ever could.
But a world tour isn’t all that Reese has planned for her Angel Reese 1s. She expressed a very simple desire for the upcoming sports seasons. “I just want to see a lot of players this year [wearing Reese’s signature shoes]. We have some people signed for Reebok in the NBA, so some of the NBA guys wearing them this year.” This isn’t gonna be the first time a WNBA signature shoe is gonna make its rounds in the men’s league. After all, the A-Ones and Sabrina 1s were highly popular in the NBA after launching! And on the fashion side? Angel Reese has her sights set on the biggest goal imaginable–the Met Gala. “We may have some shoes under the dress next year, we never know.”

All in all, it’s safe to say that this partnership turned out for the best. We know that Angel Reese has been with Reebok for quite a while now, but what exactly went through her mind in the beginning? What led her to sign with the underdog of the shoe market? Let’s find out!
Angel Reese gets candid about the beginning of her Reebok journey
October 17th, 2023. That’s when Reebok’s fate changed for the better. Okay, that might be pushing it, but you have to admit that Angel Reese has played a heavy hand in Reebok Basketball’s comeback. Sure, the Chicago Sky star is controversial, polarizing, and not always liked. But do you know what she does? She attracts views, stares, and money like nobody’s business. And that’s exactly what she did with Reebok and her newly released signature shoe.
But how did it all come to light? Well, Shaquille O’Neal had a sit-down conversation with her after becoming Reebok’s president of basketball operations. “October was the first time that I sat down and talked with him.” She said in the interview with Swish Culture, admitting that she wasn’t sure about signing with Reebok to begin with. Why? “I didn’t think that was a thing for a lot of women… I don’t know if Sabrina had her shoe yet, I don’t know what women already had their shoe that were currently in the league. “

She put it very bluntly–signing with a shoe company wasn’t one of her dreams or goals. But after her NCAA championship and her rise to fame, a lot of companies reached out. What made Reebok different, however, was the opportunity for a larger role. Shaq talked to Reese about “being able to bring Reebok back,” and that had her hooked! Not to mention, the brand was willing to give her a lot of creative control over her signature shoe.
Like any sane athlete, she said yes, and here we are! Nearly two years later, and Reebok Basketball is definitely on the upward climb. Angel Reese’s shoes getting sold out is a step in the right direction, but it’s just the beginning
