Gauri Pradhan Enjoys Dinner With Her ‘Forever’ Person Mayoori Kango

Remember Mayoori Kango, the girl who stole hearts in the 1990s with the hit song Ghar Se Nikalte Hi from Papa Kehte Hain? She may have bid farewell to Bollywood years ago, but her friendships from the industry remain strong. To prove this, we have stumbled upon a picture where she is seen enjoying dinner with television star Gauri Pradhan.
Gauri and Mayoori lived together in their early years in the industry, before Mayoori relocated to the United States to pursue her career in business.
On Wednesday, Gauri took to Instagram Stories to share a candid picture from their reunion dinner in Mumbai. The photo captures the duo smiling warmly at the camera, enjoying a cosy meal together at a city restaurant.
Gauri Pradhan’s post
Gauri looked radiant in a vibrant orange outfit, while Mayoori kept it chic in a light-toned dress. She captioned it, “Dinner with my forever person – worth the wait.”
Gauri Pradhan’s work front
Gauri Pradhan recently returned to the spotlight with the second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus. The reboot, which premiered on July 29, brings back the OG cast, including Smriti Irani, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Amar Upadhyay, Shakti Anand, and Ketki Dave, along with new faces like Shagun Sharma, Aman Gandhi, and Rohit Suchanti. The show is backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and is slated for a limited episode run.
Mayoori Kango’s career breakdown
Even after clearing the entrance exam for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Mayoori Kango made her film debut with Saeed Akhtar Mirza’s critically acclaimed Naseem (1995). In the National Award-winning film, she played the titular character. But her big break came in director Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Papa Kehte Hain.’ Though the film tanked at the box office, the hit songs made Mayoori a popular face in the industry.
Later, she starred in films like Shikari, Betaabi (1997), Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet (1999) with Ajay Devgn, Vamsi with Mahesh Babu and Badal (2000) opposite Bobby Deol and Rani Mukerji. She has also worked in television shows like Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Karishma – The Miracles of Destiny, Kkusum, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kittie Party, and Rangoli.
Despite early fame, she gradually transitioned away from acting and pursued higher education. With an MBA degree, she entered the corporate world. She rose through the ranks to become CEO at Publicis Groupe’s Global Delivery and later joined Google.
