His family business is in its third generation after it was founded by Mr Noble’s father Ivor in 1934 and is now being run by his son Graham.
Mr Noble said his watercress is still harvested all year round by hand.
“The continuity is brilliant and it’s great to see a traditional business just running on in the modern day,” Mr Noble said.
On the meal itself Mr Noble described it as “interesting, not something I can say I’ve ever had”.
