Specsavers’ sister stores in Mere Green and Sutton Coldfield, which are locally owned and run, have sponsored the Royal Sutton Fun Run for the last 12 years. At this year’s event, colleagues across the two stores took part in aid of The Cancer Support Centre, raising more than £2,190.
“The Royal Sutton Fun Run is a key calendar event and we’re always happy to show our support,” Andrew Pennicott, store director at the Specsavers sister stores, says.
“The Cancer Support Centre is a charity close to our hearts and we’re really proud to have built a strong relationship with such a fantastic organisation who supports people with cancer in our local community.”
Since 2021, the sister stores have raised more than £6,000 for good causes, with the teams committed to continuing their support of the Royal Sutton Fun Run and other local charities.
The Cancer Support Centre was founded in 2001 and helps people and their loved ones living with cancer. To find out more visit https://suttoncancersupport.org/.
