Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Friday virtually unveiled the foundation for setting up 11 sports facilities in various locations across the State at a total cost of ₹49 crore. In Chennai, the infrastructure will come up at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Arignar Anna Swimming Pool, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu’s campus in Mogappair in Chennai. The new facilities will come up in Dindigul, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Thanjavur, Tiruvallur, and Tiruvannamalai districts. Ministers K.R. Periakaruppan, Ma. Subramanian, and P.K. Sekarbabu, Maduravoyal MLA K. Ganapathy, and senior officials were also present.
