Matar Sarr also got on the scoresheet against West Ham United earlier this week. The 23-year-old leaped high during a corner, giving Spurs a well-deserved lead in the second half. Troy Deeney praises Tottenham star Pape Matar Sarr for brilliant performance
Tottenham fans were delighted to see Pape Matar Sarr continue his goal-scoring form as the 23-year-old got on the scoresheet against West Ham United. The Senegal international had already scored in both his country’s international fixtures last week. And he managed to follow that up by striking again for Spurs in the Premier League against the Hammers.
Taking notice of that, Troy Deeney heaped praise on Sarr’s form for his club. Writing for the BBC, Deeney said,
“Under Thomas Frank, Sarr seems to have got a bit more freedom to go forward. He showed high energy and was bursting past people. I know he is young and has more to do, but he seems transformed and is getting better and better.”
